Ed’s accounts included General Mills, SKC Film, Pittsburgh Glass Works, Delta Airlines, Atlantic Southeast Airlines, Atlanta Airlines Terminal Corporation (Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport), Greater Orlando Airport Authority, Delta Community Credit Union, Verizon Service Corporation, Toyota Motor Engineering and Manufacturing North America, Inc., New Birth Missionary Baptist Church, Inc., Volvo Group North America, Inc., Spirit AeroSystems, Inc., Mecklenburg County, North Carolina, State of Tennessee Data Centers, Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation and Pratt & Whitney. Gross revenue increased from $22 Million to over $50 million in 4 years, while growing from 7 to 16 customers. While at Linc, Ed formed and was the President of dt-Linc, LLC a US Small Business Administration certified 8(a) mentor protégé joint venture positioned to provide commercial and governmental facility services.
Ed has provided corporate facility services to Delta Airlines as Account Manager for CB Richard Ellis, BellSouth Telecommunications as the Director of Property Management for Carter and Associates and Equifax/ ChoicePoint as General Manager for Compass Management and Leasing.
A career of public service
Ed Fielder is a former presidential appointee under George W. Bush, serving as Chief of Staff and Regional Administrator for the Southeast Sunbelt Region for the U.S. General Services Administration (GSA). GSA is a centralized Federal procurement and property management agency created by Congress to improve government efficiency and help federal agencies better serve the public. GSA consists of the Federal Acquisition Service, the Public Building Services, the Office of Governmentwide Policy, and various Staff Offices. Eleven Regional Offices extend GSA’s outreach to Federal customers nationwide. GSA Regional Offices are located in Boston, New York, Philadelphia, Atlanta, Chicago, Kansas City, Fort Worth, Denver, San Francisco, Auburn (Washington), and Washington, DC. It acquires, on behalf of federal agencies, office space, equipment, telecommunications, information technology, supplies and services. GSA, comprised of 14,000 associates, provides services and solutions for the office operations of over 1 million federal workers located in 8,300 government-owned and leased buildings in 1,600 U.S. communities. GSA acts as the catalyst for nearly $66 billion in Federal spending – more than one-fourth of the Government’s total procurement dollars. The agency influences the management of Federal assets valued at nearly $500 billion, to include an interagency fleet of 170,000 vehicles.
A decorated Logistics Officer, Ed retired as a Lieutenant Colonel, United States Marine Corps – advancing to a senior Logistics Officer serving in variety of command and staff assignments throughout U.S. and globally. He directed logistics support for large organizations deployed worldwide and managed complex projects and large annual operating budgets. He had Top Secret security clearance. He earned seven personal decorations during career: Meritorious Service Medal with two Gold Stars, Navy Commendation medal with Gold Star and Navy Achievement Medal with Gold Star. Ed is a Combat Veteran of Desert Storm.
An honorable background
Ed Fielder holds both the Facility Management Administrator (FMA) and Real Property Administrator (RPA) designations from the Building Owners and Managers Institute International. He is a graduate of the Marine Corps Command and Staff College and holds an Masters of Business Administration (MBA) in Management from Golden Gate University. He is a graduate of Georgia Institute of Technology with a bachelor of science in Building Construction with high honors.
